Mei is the founder of Clean Walks and has lived in Atlanta almost ten years. She started the movement by bringing trash bags to pick up trash while talking walks on Piedmont Road and Path 400. "I constantly think about how to make more people join me, so that we can effectively clean our neighborhood and our city. That's when I came up with 'Clean Walks.'

Cary has been involved in environmental health since graduating from Auburn University. Cary's mantra is "Every person can walk and clean,” as she picks up litter every day when walking her dogs.

"I have a deep seated commitment to keeping Atlanta clean and beautiful. It is heartbreaking to see trash cluttering up our beautiful 'City in the Forest.' I believe by carrying that 'Don't be a litterbug!' mantra into your daily routine is exactly how grassroots change takes root. That is why I joined Clean Walks soon after it was founded."

"As an avid runner, hiker, and soccer player, I spend most of my time outdoors. I started volunteering with Clean Walks because I wanted to stop walking past litter and start doing something about it. I love using my background in community leadership to turn small actions into a collective movement that keeps our Atlanta trails and neighborhoods pristine."
"I'm a Georgia native that enjoys spending time outdoors with my dog, keeping my neighborhood clean, and making home- cooked meals. I am passionate about getting people to make Clean Walks a daily activity."

"I believe that we are all privileged to live on this amazing planet, and the least we can do is to treat it with the care and respect it deserves. Wherever I go, I try to make sure I leave that place a little cleaner than it was before. If we all limit our plastic usage and Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, we can make a huge impact! Clean Walks is the BEST!"

"I began volunteering as a teenager in Chicago and have continued finding ways to give back since moving to Atlanta. I’m passionate about creating positive change in my community and currently work with a couple other local organizations. Through Clean Walks, I’ve had the chance to help keep our neighborhoods clean while working with some incredible people along the way! Outside of that, I’m an avid lover of sports (Go Chicago Teams!), reading, and fitness."
